H2Ohio
Attention Tuscarawas County Agriculture Producers. In late 2023, Ohio Governor Mike DeWine and Ohio Department of Agriculture (ODA) Director Brian Baldridge announced the statewide expansion of H2Ohio’s incentive program for agriculture producers. The program, led by ODA, provides funding to producers to help offset the financial risk associated with implementing H2Ohio’s proven agricultural Best Management Practices (BMPs) that work to improve Ohio’s water quality. Eligible producers can enroll acreage into a Voluntary Nutrient Management Plan (VMNP) and earn $10/acre incentive for VNMP development and approval. Agriculture row-crop producers who wish to enroll will need up to date soil tests (no older than four years), planned crops and rotation, yield goals, and planned fertilizer applications. The enrollment period is April 22, 2024- May 31, 2024. Please contact us about signing up.
